People On The Move: Cervera's Omar De Windt Appointed Vice President of Corporate Communications

Terrance E. Linne has been appointed president of Lank Oil Co. to oversee the Miami fueling business' marine, construction and retail fuel distribution in Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.Linne joined Lank Oil in 1997 and has worked as a fuel distributor, warehouse manager, general manager and executive vice president. Linne is active with community and industry-related organizations, including the Board of Directors for the Florida Petroleum Marketers' Association and The Boy Scouts of America.

Education

Oxbridge Academy has appointed Kerry Kruckel as director of development, and Judie Gibson has joined as business and donor development officer in West Palm Beach. Before joining Oxbridge, Kruckel was executive director of the Els for Autism Foundation.Before moving to Florida in 2014, Kruckel lived and worked in New York City, most recently as the chief development officer at The New School. She also was chief development officer at WNET New York Public Media and managing director at the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Gibson has worked as a consulting development specialist and officer for the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, Life's Top 10 Leadership Program, Stand Strong USA and Life Without Limbs. She also was vice president of marketing for the International Polo Club Palm Beach. Gibson is currently an investing partner and investment relations coordinator for the fast casual restaurant PDQ.

Community

YMCA of South Palm Beach County's board of trustees named Tim Devlin as chief volunteer officer, taking over from Charles Deyo. Devlin is a partner and tax services leader for Daszkal Bolton.

Chambers

Allison Turner, CEO and owner of Business Consultants of South Florida, has become the 2016 Chair of the Delray Chamber of Commerce's Ambassadors. Ambassadors serve as the greeting arm of the chamber to promote new-member participation and retention.

The Central Palm Beach County Community Foundation has announced the finalists for its 5th Annual Women of Worth Award Luncheon, which will be Feb. 4 at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, featuring guest speaker Rachel Docekal, managing partner for the Lyrae Group LLC and former CEO of the Hanley Center Foundation. Continuing care

Robert Vital has been appointed health care administrator at Covenant Village of Florida, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities in Plantation. Before joining Covenant Village, Vital was nursing home administrator at Hollywood Hills Rehab Center, Hollywood. He also was a licensed health risk manager at Signature HealthCare Center of Waterford, Hialeah Gardens.

Construction

The National Association of Women In Construction elected a new board for 2016: President Christina L. Feyen, The Soto Law Group, P.A.; Vice President Judi Sweet, Fire and Mold Restoration; Treasurer Golden Johansson, vice president, Legacy Bank of Florida; and Secretary Jennifer Lee McCloskey, senior account executive, AppleOne Fort Lauderdale.

Aviation

Missy Roberto joined Banyan Air Service as the manager of the Banyan Pilot Shop. She is responsible for the growth, leadership, organization and management of Banyan's retail store.Roberto started working in retail in 1987 for a family-owned men's clothing store and later worked for The Limited Inc., Gap, Bath & Body Works and Cache.She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University.

Environmental

 

The Institute for Regional Conservation, a nonprofit dedicated to the protection, restoration, and long-term management of biodiversity, announced that Kingsley Dixon has joined its board of directors in Delray Beach. Dixon is a professor at Curtin University's Department of Environment and Agriculture, a visiting professor at Kings Park and Botanic Garden, a visiting professor at the University of Western Australia's School of Plant Biology and a research associate at the Missouri Botanic Garden in the U.S.

Law

Scott Knapp, a partner in Broad and Cassel's Fort Lauderdale office, has received the 2016 Sigmund Steinberg Award for Alumni Service from Alpha Epsilon Pi.

Miami-based Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. announced that attorney Jesus M. Suarez has been named a partner. Suarez joined the firm in 2008 as an associate. He concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, governmental law, creditors' rights, bankruptcy litigation and real estate transactions.

Florida community association law firm Kaye Bender Rembaum announced that Lisa Magill, formerly a Becker & Poliakoff shareholder, has joined the firm as of counsel.

Jeffrey A. Weissman, principal of the marital and family law firm Gladstone & Weissman P.A., was named a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Katz Barron Squitero Faust announced that Elizabeth Mabry has rejoined the firm as an associate. Mabry previously held the position of associate with Katz Barron fromSeptember 2012 through July 2015.

Public relations

Camila Moller of Miami and Michelle Spriegel of Weston have joined (add)ventures, a multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm. Moller has been hired as director of strategy/marketing and Spriegel as specialist of pr/social media.

Real estate

Cervera Real Estate appointed Omar De Windt as vice president of corporate communications. Before joining Cervera Real Estate, De Windt was director of public relations-North America, Caribbean and Latin America for 3AWorldwide, an international marketing communications agency headquartered in Miami.
