Lima will be located next to one of the most influential Miami Modern (MiMo) style building in Miami. The 41-story mixed use high rise development features decorative aluminum louvers and cantilevered concrete canopies illustrating movement, a notorious characteristic of the MiMo architectural style. Lima’s facade will also be sliced with conjured dynamic back-and-forth motion of concrete in order to imitate the concrete block and stucco walls of the adjacent historic structure.
The project strives to create an urban environment introducing a mixed-use entity that includes commercial, residential and office spaces. Commercial and office spaces line the pedestal facing towards the heavily trafficked Biscayne Boulevard, while the two hundred unit residential component is neatly contained within the soaring tower.
